Isaiah is officially five weeks old today! I wish I could say I've taken a recent pic...but I haven't. I also wish I could say that if I had taken a pic I could actually upload it to the computer without my internet going out...but I can't. Somehow we need a new router...maybe with our tax return we should invest in a new one. Need to talk with the hubby about that...
So, happenings around our house: Mira still loves her brother...a little too much sometimes. She just doesn't understand that she can't squeeze the HECK out of him, put her hand over his mouth/nose, smack him in the head, grab his face while he's eating and fling him off his food source, and swing his infant swing as high as it can possibly go. Yes, mommy gets a tad bit angry at some of these things and I'm trying to figure out how best to respond so she knows it's not okay to act that way, but also not overdue my reaction so that she keeps wanting to do them for attention. So far, I haven't figured out the best reaction yet. I realize I need to work on not getting angry about it and remind myself she doesn't know she's actually hurting him...just getting a reaction out of me. Some days it's tiring.
I think Isaiah looks so much like Mira at the same age. It will be fun to watch them grow up together and see how different/similiar they look and act as they get older. Mira still thinks Isaiah is HILARIOUS at any given time when he moves or squirms around.
Mira is working hard at her language skills and putting more and more words together every day. Today she took her boots off in the car, along with her socks and then kept saying "bare piggies", which sounded more like "pear piggies". Pretty cute. Her favorite saying might be "daddy, home". She LOVES it when daddy gets home from work and runs to greet him and then proceeds to dance around the living room. Some days she asks about him four hundred and fifty nine thousand times in one minute. Those must be the days when she feels brother is taking too much of mommy's time.
I'm excited the Olympics has started. Abe and I always enjoy watching together. We don't currently have any Valentine's day plans, but you never know what we might come up with. We would love to hit our favorite spot, Deep Fork Grill, but will probably sit that one out this year. We do have two children we are now paying for.
I just exercised for the first time in MONTHS. I couldn't exercise while pregnant due to all the contractions, so I was counting down the days until my post-partum check-up for the all clear on exercising. It's nice to get back into it!! And, yes, I am VERY out of shape!!

Aren't you too exhausted to exercise. Hats off to you if you can get out there woman. I believe you have your hands pretty full. I vote for a new computer to download pics as well. You must be able to share pics. Must, must, must! Although I know you get tired keeping Mira from causing bodily harm to your newest family member, I have to admit I laughed at loud of the image of Mira pushing the swing so high. Make sure you keep that little jem buckled in! Good luck mama. And let everyone know how you decide to handle the situation. We are all learning from you!
