Maternity Pictures

My sister-in-law, Anna, has started her own photography business, Birds and Coffee Design (she doesn't have updated pics and pricing listed right now, but send her a message if you're interested! Trust me, after you see these pictures, you'll want to hire her. And you should).  She's amazing.  And I couldn't pass up the opportunity to have her take some maternity pictures.  I told her I didn't want cheesy typical pregnancy pictures, more like cute/fun/funky pictures where you happen to see that I'm pregnant.  I wish Abe could have been in them too, but I was feeling the pressure (from myself) to get them done before I go into labor, so we took them one morning this week.

As you'll notice, it's difficult to get kids looking in the direction of the camera, but I think that makes for a great representation of how life is with young kids...they don't always do what you want them to.

This first one was supposed to be everyone touching mommy's tummy. As you can see, Isaiah didn't grasp that concept. And if you zoom in, you can see my belly showing under my shirt, which I'm not a fan of, but I thought the idea was cute.

Mira looooves touching my belly these days and saying "baby!", so she had fun with this.  Isaiah....thinks sticks are more exciting.

A truck drove by and got their attention, so we went with it. And yes, Mira likes to twirl her hair.

This pose was all Mira. I'm not even sure how Anna captured it since Mira barely sat still for longer than point five seconds. But I love it!

I adore this kid.

This picture makes me smile just looking at it.  I have no idea what we were all so excited about, but I think it may be my favorite pic. It's just fun!

Anna had the idea for a vintage theme, which was fun. Thus the old suitcase. This is me saying, "my bags are packed, let's head for the hospital and have this baby!"

This was the last set of pictures we took. The kids did amazing, but definitely didn't want to keep sitting still. Anna didn't think there would be any good ones in this set, but I love them because they very accurately represent my life. Yes, Mira was literally running around the tree.

And climbing it.

Isaiah's turn to climb.

I love my girl!

 She's beautiful!

 Love this

 My handsome boy

I don't know what I'm doing here, but I thought the pic was funny.

I'm so thankful to Anna for taking these pictures for us!  I will cherish them forever and am so glad to have this time in our life documented so well.  Thanks Anna!!

I like the first solo one of you and the one of the kids and the umbrella. They're all great!

Those are such great pics! Anna is so good, although your family is super-photogenic! I love the first one of you solo too. You look very Faith Hill-like! :)

I would drive to Oklahoma just for her to take our pictures. She does an amaging job. P.S. I'd pay extra if she could make me look like you in the pics! :) Just stunning.
