I know, I know, I need to post some pictures already. But do you know how much longer that takes??? I'll get all my typing out of the way, and then I'll post some pictures assuming Mira is still sleeping...which is not likely...
So, thanks to Tara, I have been tagged again. I would post the cute little tagged logo, but I don't know how to copy it from her blog to post to mine, so you will just have to go to her blog to see how cute it is. So, now I have to post 7 random things about myself...once again...and this time I'm only doing 7 and not 9.
1. I made my first ever pumpkin pie on Monday. My very first ever! I am so proud of myself, and it tastes delicious!! I wasn't quite sure what to expect because I ground my own ginger (from ginger we have frozen in the freezer. Yeah, that stuff lasts forever in the freezer), and I only had whole cloves so I had to grind them up in the food processor. I was a little nervous everything wouldn't mix well, but the pie is great and I have been enjoying it every day since. In fact, I just ate a piece an hour ago and I'm about ready for some more. Yeah, that's how I roll.
2. I just learned about this new restaurant (new to me at least) from Tara and I can't wait to try it. I mean, who doesn't want to eat at a restaurant called Spicy Pickle??? I'm in!
3. So, I would probably be described as a preppy type of dressor (seriously, I just used the word "preppy" in my blog. I am so lame). But, when I see someone who has a sporty look I always think it's cute and I might want to try it once in a while. But then I just don't know that I could pull it off and so it ends up never happening. I also really like fashion and if I had a few more dollars in the bank account would probably, er, uh, most definitely be more fashionable. Not that I'm out of fashion (hopefully. Although, some days I feel like it.), I just don't have all the cash to always purchase the most up-to-date fashion statements. If I could, I would.
4. I love food. Like, really. Love. Food. In fact, sometimes I think I like food a little too much. I don't overeat or anything, I just really love trying new things and eating delicious, high quality, amazing food. I love trying new restaurants (see #2 above) and really love finding a new favorite food or meal. I must be hungry...yes, I believe I am.
5. I love my husband for lots of reasons. Here are a few of them: I love that he enjoys food as much as I do and that he loves to try new things also (He also loves this about me and when we had our fancy meal at Deep Fork Grill last weekend (you know, the yummy meal I barfed up) he made the comment "I'm so glad I married you". Isn't that sweet??? Of course he said it because he was excited that I like trying new foods as much as he does, but still...sweet); he loves to garden (I know, how many men do you find that love to garden???); he loves our baby as much as I do and he loves playing with her (he always tells me all they fun they have together when I'm not around, which I totally love hearing about because it is so mooshey gooshey sweet!); I love that he is tall enough that he's taller than I am, but not too tall that I can't just stand on my tippy toes and give him a smooch; I love that he enjoys watching movies; I love that he enjoys being outside and doing fun things together; I love that he loves his job and works hard at it and enjoys providing for our family; I love that he looks forward to coming home every night to our family and that he's not one to want to "go out" with his buddies "all the time" (I like that he does go out with his buddies sometimes because every guy needs that); I love that he doesn't complain about the fact that our house looks like a toy store exploded on most evenings and that he doesn't get upset if I don't clean the house every single week. There are many many more things that I love, but these just came to me off the top of my head.
6. Today Mira and I went to the mall with Julie and Hazel. We had lots and lots of fun. I always enjoy my time with Julie because she's one of those people who I could say the most silly random thing to and she would appear interested in what I have to say and most likely even have something to add to my totally random comment and we could carry on a conversation like that forever. In fact, every time I leave after our time together I remember like ten more things we could have talked about but didn't have time to.
7. I love little cute naked baby butts. Okay, not all little baby butts, just my little baby butt (as in Mira's, not my own). I mean, they are just so cute and tiny and squishy and so darn adorable. Cute cute cute. Mooshey sqooshy.
I tag Julie B., Julie K., Krystal, Holly, Deena, and Heather C.
Speaking of cute little baby butts, Mira is crawling her cute little baby butt all over the house. All. Over. And she loves to get herself around. It's almost like she has always been crawling, although occasionally she discovers something she hasn't noticed before and darts towards it to check it out. For example, there are two baskets in her room on the floor, one containing blankets and one containing toys and clothes she has outgrown. She has never noticed them before today (I guess because they are "hidden" beside the crib and she usually goes straight for her changing table drawers so she can open and proceed to clear out all the contants onto the floor, but not before shaking each article of clothing around as if it's the best toy ever). So, after noticing the baskets she enjoyed pulling down the blankets and shaking them around and hiding under them until mommy scooped her up so we could head to the mall. I also have some cutie pictures of her sitting under her crib last weekend as she discovered the treasures (a.k.a. diaper and wipe boxes) hidden underneath.
Okay, amazingly she is still sleeping, so I'm going into the other room right this very second to start uploading pictures...If you read this and there are no pictures posted it's because she woke up before I could finish and I will be back later...

Next time you and Jo go to the mall, call me so I can join in the random convos! And you're right...she DOES always make you feel like your randomness is totally valid!
And I want to eat @ the Spicy Pickle...let's go!
