Healthy Eating

It may come as no surprise that I like healthy food (or maybe you are surprised?). Anyway, I wish I could say I was GOOD at eating healthy, but alas, I find myself with still a sweet tooth in my mouth (I won't mention how many Sprinkles cupcakes I ate last week when Mira and I visited April and Heath in Dallas. A lot. Too many. But they were oh. so. yummy.). Once again, I digress.

So, I really like books about restaurant foods calories, grams of fat, etc., especially when I find out that seemingly healthful dishes are loaded with a thousand calories. I'm not kidding. Over a thousand calories, to be exact. Olive Garden's pasta with red sauce and meatballs has over a thousand calories. It's shameful. You can read more about it here, as well as some other seemingly healthful choices from other restaurants that are a plate full of lies. Shameful, I say.

And just so you know, I just got done eating an apple and a banana (with peanut butter, of course. who can eat apples and bananas without peanut butter?). So take that you thousand calorie meatballs!

In other exciting news, as I mentioned, Mira and I drove down to Dallas last week to visit our good friends April and Heath. April's hubby was out-of-town, so we killed two birds with one stone since I got to keep April occupied AND we got to reminisce about old times (old times being college). We had LOADS of fun, and I enjoyed some yummy food (Do my conversations really always revolve around food???). The first night I was there we had some delicious pizza from Fireside Pies. Yum, to say the least. The second night we had sushi. Need I say more? It was beyond delicious. Beyond. I have some pics of Heath and Mira together, but my mom currently has my camera so I am unable to upload them. Soon, very soon.

Why would I loan my camera to my mom? Because my LITTLE sister (yes, 13 years younger! And, yes, she is my full sister. Not half or step. I always get asked that question) is graduating from high school tomorrow night!!! So, yesterday evening was her baccelorette, and today they had a robing ceremony at her school. It was pretty neat because the graduates go up on stage as groups and have a sibling "robe" them. I was the lucky chosen sibling, and it was such an honor! My mom used my camera to get some good pics and I asked her to hold on to it until graduation tomorrow night. I will post pics of that even as well.

In the meantime, I will leave you with a pic of my own cute little one. She is adorable. Yes she is.

OMg she doesn't look like a baby anymore. She looks like a little girl! Tell her to stop growing this instant.

She is a cute little one and I see she has a love for shoes like someone else in her house.
