I might be freaking out

Soooo, for those of you who haven't seen me in a while (which is most of you reading this). My belly is huge. Now, I don't mean huge nine months pregnant huge, I mean huge for being not quite 8 weeks pregnant.

Now, you're probably thinking it's all in my head.

But, I promise you, it's not.

For example, at our playgroup on Friday, all of my friends were freaking out at how big my belly already is. Freaking out. Saying "it could be twins" (as I secretly cringe). One of the girls kept saying, "it's unheard of" to be showing already at 8 weeks. Showing, people. Like, it's obvious I'm pregnant. Like, I look like I could be five months pregnant, not just a mere 8 weeks.

So, yes, I was freaking out just a little. But, I kept telling myself that my body just can't hide it for very long, and I know this happens with subsequent pregnancies. So, I was able to calm down.

Until tonight when I stepped on the scale.

I weighed myself two weeks ago after I found out I was expecting.

Guess how much weight I've gained since?

Go on...guess. Leave a comment, and make your guess. Don't worry about offending me, just guess. And the winner will get to know first before everyone else what the doctor says on Wednesday...twins or no twins.

So comment away. You have until midnight on Monday June, 1st to leave your comment. After that time, I will post the weight, and the winner (once I get up the next morning, cause I'm not staying up till midnight).

You're wondering if we want twins, I will take whatever the Lord gives us (healthy baby, please!), but if He's giving us twins, He also better give us someone to move in and help us for the first six months. Yes, six months. Actually, what would make me the most nervous about twins is neglecting the sweet girl He has already blessed us with. I know it's hard enough when you have a child already and then have another, but two more? That would be really tough. It would need lot's of prayer.

So, go ahead, comment away. What's your guess on how much weight I have gained in two weeks? The winner will be whoever is closest. Not closest without going over, because I hate that game. Just whoever comes the closest.

8 lbs. I have no idea why I am guessing that... but whatever, I'm sticking with it.
Hey remember how huge your belly is?? Seriously, I am telling everyone about it... it is amazing really. :) I secretly want to take your picture so I can prove to my friends how much your showing at a mere 7 weeks. :) (but I won't)

32 lbs. P.S. my mommy friends with several kids all say parenting is easier the more you have. Maybe that can help with the jitters, single or double.

I say you ARE freaking out - not that I wouldn't be too... My guess is 10 pounds. Oh, and I don't have a doctor's appt on Wed anymore, so I can't laugh with Dr. W about how much you're freaking out and what you're thinking.

I'm going with 11 lbs. I was thinking 10 but I can't have the same guess as Julie. If I were able, I would move in for 6 months if you had twins! As long as I could take one home with me...just kidding :).

I am going to say 7. You are great with your little girl and you will be great with this one...(or two) also.

I'm guessing an odd number that might possible make you look further along than you really are....27 lbs.? I don't know why, it's the first # that came to me. I can't wait to find out if you're having twins or not. Don't worry about Mira, she'll do fine and adjust well to you having two (or one) other babies. You guys are great parents, and whatever happens, you'll do great.

umm I am a ilttle sad I missed out on seeing this "belly" at playgroup Friday.

My guess is 3 lbs. I am going to say 3 lbs because I think tiny you would freak out over 3 lbs. :)

Can't wait to hear if there are multiples!

Who decided about twins? The mom or dad side of things? I know I guessed 32, but I was just trying to be the high bidder. I'm more apt to think something in mid the teens. What about your mom? Move her in whether its one or two. Its great to have moms helping! Plus she has experience with twins!

13 lbs. And I either need to see you in person, or you better post a picture!

I'm gonna say 17 lbs. I would've said 15, but someone already said that. And it is true that you show a lot faster w/ your 2nd kid...I guess your body just knows what to do already so it just decides to get started quick! :)

And don't freak out...you're booful no matter how much weight you gain! :)
