God is good!!!

Sheesh, it has taken me way to long to update on Isaiah's ultrasound. So sorry about that! The great news...his spine is PERFECT!! I am so thankful to God for this great blessing! Sweet little Isaiah did great during the ultrasound. Obviously he had to be naked and laying on his tummy. Two things which don't normally happen for long periods of time. But the sweet ultrasound tech (yes, she really was sweet, which I was very grateful for) gave me some nasty medicine tasting "sweet stuff" to dip Isaiah's pacifier in so he would be calm during the procedure. He liked it. Good thing he doesn't know it tasted like medicine. The sweet tech explained to me what she was looking for and that she would be looking at the bottom and middle of his spine. Hearing all that could possibly be wrong with a little baby spine reminded me of how miraculous the growing of a human really is. God is truly amazing in His creation. I had asked ahead of time if the tech would be able to tell me what she saw. I was worried she would say I had to wait until the results were sent to my doctor to be read over. Luckily she was able to tell me so my mind could be put at peace and not continue to worry until I heard from the doctor.

In other fun news, Mira still LOVES the play kitchen I got her a few months back. She has a little tea set which includes bowls, cups, silverware, and plates. The bowls and cups are her favorite items and almost daily she "makes" us food and brings us our bowl to eat from. Daddy always gets the dark pink bowl, mommy gets the light pink bowl, Mira gets the blue bowl, and Gran gets the purple bowl. Every time. I can't believe she remembers who gets which bowl each time. The most humorous aspect of this almost daily ritual is what the bowls contain. Everyone gets cookies...except daddy. He gets cereal. Every. Time. It is hilarious. Most hilarious because if anyone in this house were going to eat cookies, it would be daddy. And if anyone were going to eat cereal, it would be me and Mira. So, so, so funny.

I haven't taken any new pics, but I had these on my computer from Mira's birthday.  Abe's mom got Mira three princess dresses, which as you can see she TOTALLY loves!  SUCH a girl!

Praising God with you that Isaiah is healthy! I'm so glad the ultrasound tech was so sweet and communicative - I can't imagine all that was going through your mind. And Mira - how precious is she with her princess dresses and kitchen? I love that she remembers what she has served everyone before and repeats it every time. She's learning early how routine can be a source of comfort. I sense that she has such a caring spirit (like her mother).

Perfect spine, crooked crack. Nothing wrong with that combo.
