Mira suddenly has an uncanny knack for attempting all feats possible to distract from bed/naptime. I remind myself it's a sign of growth and mental maturity so as not to get fully annoyed at every bed/naptime. These conversations always happen once she's in bed, covers up, light out. Today our conversation went like this:
Mira: Are you going ni-night by yourself since daddy's at work?
Me: No, I'm going to get ready to go to the doctor.
Mira: Are you going to take a shower?
Me: Yes
Mira: Are you going to put your make-up on?
Me: Yes
Mira: Are you going to dry off first?
Me: Yes
Mira: Mommy, I really love my band-aid
Me: I'm so glad
Mira: It helps me feel better when I have a cut
Me: I'm glad you feel better
Mira: Ni-night mommy
Me: Goodnight, I love you.
Mira: I love you too
See, she's pretty sweet. And funny. Today she said to Isaiah, "Isaiah, you're the best, and I love you sooooo much." Sweetest. Words. Ever. I thank God for such amazing blessings.

She sure is a sweetie!
You know sarcasm doesn't work with them at this age either.
I miss those simple, pure conversations with my daughters when they were Mira's age. Love it! - Kelly R.
