Birthing classes, feeding classes, and baby care
So I decided I needed to sign us up for the birthing classes at the hospital where Mira will be delivered. My friend Julie said the class was really helpful even if I choose to use a certain technique (still haven't gotten my books from the library yet). So, I called to get signed up for the birthing class and the only one still available is on December 15th. But my mom is graduating from college that day. Go mom! So, I said I wouldn't be able to attend that class. The girl on the phone was nice but told me all the other classes are full and she can't put me in the class in January because that's when I'm due and "you're supposed to take it two months in advance". Bummer. So I informed my hubby of the news and we wondered if we would be able to get into the "refresher" course, some information is better than none, right? I called sweet Jennifer back and she said there aren't any more of those courses available this year. Bummer. We did decide that it would be helpful to take the feeding class, so once again I called sweet Jennifer and told her I wanted to sign up for the feeding class. She got us enrolled, and then said she would check the November birthing class schedule to see how many were registered. She looked and said she could squeeze us in the birthing class on November 17th! She said, "Only because you were nice and didn't yell at me". We laughed and I thanked her several times. Isn't it exciting how God provides when we least expect something? It was so sweet of her to take the time to look at the schedule and fit us in! I also signed us up for the baby care class, which is December 5th. So, here's the rundown of classes: November 17th Birthing class; December 4th Feeding class; December 5th Baby care. Yea for baby planning!
