Relieved
I had a doctor's appointment today. I look forward to my appointments because I like confirmation that everything is progressing the way it's supposed to. I was really looking forward to this appointment because I have been having some cramping in my lower abdomen and wanted to make sure everything was normal. My doctor had told me at previous appointments that cramping is fine as long as it doesn't happen six times in an hour. But, sometimes it's hard to tell because it's just there, so you can't really count how many times it happens. Anyway, I told her about it and she said she wasn't worried but checked me to make sure I wasn't dilating at all. She said my cervix is still closed and tight (yea!) and that the baby is just sitting on my bladder and in places I don't want her to sit (meaning it's uncomfortable!, but normal). I was relieved that she checked me so I wouldn't worry about it. She also said I lost two pounds (woo hoo!) but I had gained 5 between my last two appointments so she wasn't concerned. She said it was probably what I was wearing, what I had eaten or a combination of both. I really like my doctor. She's young and very personable. She asked what our Thanksgiving plans are and I asked hers. She's not one of those doctors who is afraid to talk about her personal life. It's nice to know she's a normal person leading a normal life and isn't some distant hoity-toity doctor that doesn't want to talk about herself. If anyone is looking for a good OB/GYN in the OKC area, I can make a recommendation!

wait to work hoity toity into your blog - nice!
Thanks Gina! I actually went to the doctor (or P.A.) today and could give her similar rave reviews, she was really fantastic! Maybe it's something about Oklahoma?
Anyway, I got a steroid shot and a bunch of medicine, so hopefully I'll be all better for T-day!
And I'm glad to hear everything is going well with Mira. Yay, baby!
I hope you guys have a great holiday. Hopefully I'll see you at Bridgeway on Sunday!
P.S. This is a ridiculously long comment.
