I am feeling SO tired today. I can't decide if it's the weather or because there's some rule that if you're pregnant it means your body is tired. All I know is I could go to bed right now and happily sleep through the night (of course that's after I get some food in my belly). The wind today in OKC was ridiculous. I'm pretty sure it was 80 miles an hour, which definitely made it feel cooler that 60 degrees. By the way, what's up with 60 degree weather in November anyway? I am not complaining, but it is strange. Not that I should be surprised...it is Oklahoma.
Yesterday, after I woke up with a butt in my ribs (seriously, this is not comfortable. How does a baby know to aim for the ribs...especially with a butt??), I got my flu shot. I am not afraid of shots or needles, in fact they don't really bother me. But, I definitely questioned my doctor about the need for a flu shot. I have never gotten one before and I don't get the flu, so why a flu shot? She was adament, so I succumbed to the pressure. Luckily it was free because we have great insurance through Abe's work and a nurse even came to his office to administer the shots. You can't ask for better than that! The nurse was sweet too because after finding out how far along I am she said, "oh you're tiny". Yep, that's right, the day after the rude client asked me if I'm carrying twins someone tells me I'm tiny. Thank you nurse lady. Abe told me after he got home last night that his co-worker's wife had to be taken to the hospital in an ambulance after she got her shot. Yikes. He wasn't sure what happened, so I'm hoping to get the story once he's home.
I realized it's been too long since I've posted a picture and my plan was to post one today, but I'm too tired to get up and take one. I took one of our bar stool chairs into the bathroom for when I curl my hair because I get tired of standing. I had no idea what my belly looked like when I was sitting until I saw myself in the mirror while sitting in the chair. Let me tell you it is quite a sight to behold! It looks like I swallowed a giant basketball. So funny to see my giant round tummy!
So, I just text my husband to ask about the lady that had to be taken to the hospital after her flu shot. After asking whose wife I was talking about (how quickly we forget), he said she is doing better but had to stay in the hospital overnight. That doesn't tell me much info, so I inquired more, being the good woman that I am (how come women ask more detailed questions than men?). He said he wasn't sure, but probably an allergic reaction. That sounds about right, but seriously if I were asking the questions I would know exact details. I appreciate that God made men and women so different so that we can marvel at His creation and so we can learn from one another. It would be too boring if we were so much alike. Thank you God for teaching me new marvels through my husband.
