Changing Things Up...

***Picture added***

I decided to change things up a bit. I've been looking at other blogs that are so cute and creative that I decided I wanted something new. I'm not exactly sure how other people get their blogs to look so cool...I just pick from the available template options. Other people have cool designs and graphics on their layout...not so sure how to get those things yet. I'm just impressed I knew how to set the thing up. Anyway, you'll notice all the pink...maybe I have baby on the brain??? I think so.

I've been meaning to post about our oh-so-great find two nights ago. Abe and I were planning on purchasing a rocker/recliner that we would use in the nursery and eventually in our living room. So, we wanted something nice, leather, comfy, etc. We had been looking in the "as is" department at the local ginormous furniture store for a good deal. We had looked once before and didn't find anything and decided to try again on Wednesday. Partly so I could walk around and hopefully go into labor...uh, it didn't work. But, we did find an AMAZING chair that I LOVE! It wasn't exactly what we had been looking for originally. In the "as is" department I saw a nice leather glider/recliner with a footstool. I thought it would be a perfect fit for the nursery, other than the color because it was black. But, I was willing to sacrifice color since it was only $50. Abe wasn't too keen on the color combo it would present to the nursery (since we have brown and white furniture) but he was willing to purchase the chair if that's what I wanted. However, I noticed the footstool had a tear in the seam and I decided I didn't want to pay that much for something that was already falling apart. We decided to head home, but Abe suggested we look at the other gliders not in the "as is" department. He is a genious! We found the exact same chair...in white! I was a little hesitant to get white, knowing it will show dirt pretty well, but he liked the idea a lot better due to the matching and since it is leather (actually probably pleather, but whose counting?) it will be easy to wipe down. I was convinced it was the most perfect chair in the world. I love it because: it was only $80 (unlike a lot of "nursery" gliders that are well over $100), it reclines (again, unlike a lot of nursery gliders that do not recline), it's oh-so-the-most-comfortable-chair-in-my-house, and it's white which makes my husband and I both happy because it matches the nursery! Woot woot! I am so grateful for this amazing find! And it came at a great time, because that night around 5:00 a.m. I couldn't get back to sleep for the ever-present contractions and felt much more comfortable sitting in the new great and wonderful chair than I did in bed. Hooray for the new chair! I'll try to post a picture once I get home from work.

The cutie-cute chair... Love it!!!

I'm pretty sure, speaking of work, that every single co-worker I've seen today walks by my office with a look of "will she be here or won't she?" and then says "you're still here!" as they walk by. Luckily, I think it's pretty funny at this point so my comment is "I'm still pregnant!". Fun fun funny. What I really want to say is "Hopefully I won't see you Monday!" because seriously I REALLY REALLY REALLY do not want to have to come here on Monday if Mira is not born and hear the "you're still here" comments!!!! By then, I will just be mad about it...

What a great find! And perfect that they had one in white!

I keep hoping that when I check you're blog it will say Mira's on the way!

Oh, and I got you a (very) little something in Kaua'i, so I don't know if you're planning on being at Bridgeway on Sunday, but I'll bring it just in case. (Don't get too excited, haha).
