The Day Has Come

********Edited: I mis-wrote the address for the new ebay site. It's worldofgood.com not everydaygood.com (everydaygood.com is an actual website selling organic foods, so you could check that out too if interested. worldofgood.com sells anything you could imagine)******

This title has two meanings.
The first...
Picture me doing the happy dance because.....
Mira is sleeping through the night!
Did you hear me jump for joy just now? Because, seriously, I now have the ENERGY to jump for joy! I have been getting some glorious sleep for one. Whole. Week. Oh yes, that's right. One whole week. And, It. Is. Glorious. She goes down at 8, wakes at 6 to eat, and then goes back down until 7:30. Glorious.

And the second meaning...
So, imagine me putting Mira down for her nap today. She was slightly upset because she was TIRED, but fighting sleep. So, I could hear her fussing while I was running some water in the kitchen trying to defrost some chicken. And, then I didn't hear anything. So, I turned up the monitor and heard...
Bam! Bam! Bam!
Uhhhhh, the only way I can be hearing that sound is if she's banging on wood.
...and the only way she can be banging on wood is if she's standing...
...run!
Open her bedroom door...
...and see the little stinker standing in her crib...bang bang banging on the railing. Yep, it's time to lower the mattress! I had been thinking recently that that day might be coming upon us quickly with her love and mastery at pulling herself up. But, she hadn't gotten to the point of sitting up on her own yet so I thought we were safe. Well, she proved me wrong. I was curious how the little strong thing sat herself up as I see her struggling to do it while playing. Later this afternoon I was able to witness the magic.
Picture her laying on her back and trying to do a sit-up. Then she rolls on to her elbow, and pushes up with her hand. Isn't that amazing? That's not normally how babies sit themselves up. But, she is a genious. And very crafty, I might add.

Ok, some great finds for the week. My new fav make-up: Everyday Minerals. Kind of like Bare Minerals, but cheaper, which I love. And, I think it covers better. I tried Bare Minerals and didn't like it. But I read a blog recently from a girl who said she has skin issues (I don't personally know her, so I have no idea) but that the everyday minerals actually made her skin look better. The best part? They will send you free samples! Oh yes, FREE samples! I got my samples yesterday and had fun playing with them last night. They looked good, but the true test was this morning when I could use the sunlight to see how it really looked. And, I love it! Now, I'm a big fan of foundation, and very picky about foundation, and just using powder doesn't cut it for me. But, the Everyday Minerals powder foundation does a great job of covering what it needs to cover. I love it and you should too. You can click here to check it out. The other best part...it's all natural. Love it some more.

And another great find...eBay has just launched a new site called ***everydaygood.com*** (oops, should be worldofgood.com) which is a marketplace for green, animal-friendly, and fair trade products. Isn't that amazing? I haven't personally checked it out yet, but it sounds amazing.

My other great find. Dr. Bronner's Magic Soaps. I just got them in the mail today and I can't wait to try them. They are pure castile soap that has 18 different uses. Sounds pretty magical to me. I haven't tried it yet, but apparently the soap is great for cleaning all sorts of things. I'm planning to clean my floors with the peppermint flaver. Mmmm, I can't wait for my house to smell pepperminty. I hope it works as great as it says it does, and smells as amazing as it sounds. Will keep you posted...

Yay for Mira sleeping thru the night! Hadley has actually been doing well on that front (until last night)...we'll see how long it lasts.

You totally went to Yonderway Farms' blog, didn't you? I only know because I totally ordered a free sample of Everyday Minerals yesterday!!! And she turned me onto Dr. Bronners about 2 months ago. So far I've only used the unscented ultra mild baby version on, well, my babies (you have to be careful not to get it in their eyes...it's NOT tear-free) and the peppermint on me (and in a hand soap dispenser...a Dial foaming one). I must certainly try it on my floors though, because I LOVE the smell!

Here's to Lynsey Kramer and her making us product junkies just like her! :)

I ordered everyday minerals, too! I think that company should give her comission. However, I don't know how to use it, so you may need to share some instructional wisdom.
I'm so glad that Mira is sleeping so well! What a relief - it's like being your old self a little bit, isn't it? Ahhh, sweet sleep. I really don't know how you've made it this long!

Yeah! Mira is sleeping through the night. I'm so glad you've entered the world of sleeping straight through the night. You'd better catch up because the next thing you know she'll be walking!

You're so funny with all the plugs for products. You should really get some kick-backs or incentives for the advertising! LOL

OK. I amtrying to find out how to get the free samples. I am in dire need of some new foundation and I really want to try this stuff out...but I can't find where to do it on the website. Fill me in Gina. :)
Also, I am about to order Dr. Bronners soap too!! I have heard so many great things about it was going to make my own laundry detergent with it. I am weird, I know, but it sounds glorious!
