Cornhole

Regarding my previous comment (in the comments section) about driving to Elk City to pick up corn bags. One may wonder why someone would possibly drive to Elk City on a Friday night to pick up corn bags, when our good friend, Julie, agreed to bring them home with her when she came back to town on Sunday. Well, it goes something like this...
At work, Abe was introduced to his new favorite game...Cornhole. Don't go and try to look that up on the internet because apparently that word also means something inappropriate and if you type it into your browser you may get some inappropriate material that pops up. You can read about cornhole (the game) at www.ajjcornhole.com. Anyway, one of Abe's co-workers brought the game to the office a few weeks ago and it's been a hit. The guys used to play a round of PIG (basketball) on their breaks, but now that Cornhole has made its appearance, the basketballs have been lonely. Cornhole consists of two boards each with a hole in it. They are set several feet apart (view website above for exact yardage) and each team takes turns throwing corn bags into the hole of the board opposite them. Thus the name...Cornhole. The reason we drove to Elk City on Friday instead of waiting until Sunday to get the bags is because at Abe's company picnic mentioned in the previous post they were having a Cornhole tournament. Yep, that's right a Cornhole tournament....with prizes and all. They couldn't possibly have a tournament with only one set of bags, so we had to drive to get them on Friday. We did attempt to make the bags with our good friend, Julie's, help. (She taught Abe to sew on her sewing machine). However, we bought the wrong corn bag material and all the bags busted. 3.5 hours of work down the drain...or hole...or something. And where did we get the Cornhole boards? Well Abe made them himself and they look AWESOME! He is such a handyman! I'll have to take a picture for a later post so you can see how cool they are.
And that's how Cornhole was introduced into our lives. It will be important to remember this post because I imagine with it's popularity I will be mentioning it again millions of times throughout the next decade.

This description of Cornhole wrong. It is a dumb game that you should never waste your time trying...or else you'll spend time throughout the following days being negligent at work wondering when you might get another chance to play it. Also, I, and my once monthly relationship with Cox Communications, am going to take credit for Abe enjoying the OSU/Tech game...and probably even for the win. I'm waiting for Mike Gundy to call and thank me (incase he reads this, you can get my number from Gina).

Lucas, you're just jealous that Abe keeps beating you in Cornhole. Maybe if you focus on working through your competitive side you wouldn't be so distracted by the thought of playing Cornhole again. If you need some help with that...I know a good therapist...
