My clothes stink...

I don't know why...but they do. I wash them, put them in my closet and when I go to wear them, they smell like paint or chemicals or something. Abe can't smell it, so maybe it's just my super-human pregnant smelling. This morning I was trying to spray Febreze on my shirt because I knew I wouldn't be able to handle the horrible smell all day. Unfortunately, I'm almost out of Febreze so the bottle wasn't drenching my clothes the way I had hoped. I thought perfume might help, but no luck. So, I'm wearing a smelly shirt...maybe not smelley to anyone else who has a normal sense of smell, but it smells bad to me. So, today I'm going to the store to buy the detergent that has the most perfume in it and I'm going to wash all my clothes. Some may think I'm crazy, but seriously my clothes have smelled like paint since...well...maybe since I got pregnant. Our house is two years old and we have never painted our closet, so I can't imagine there's something in there that's giving my clothes such a weird smell...I know...It's just me. Maybe if I put some moth balls in my closet too. Do those really work? It's worth a try.
On to more exciting topics...tonight we're eating with Josh, Amy, and Silas at the Ethiopian restaurant in town. Josh and Amy adopted Silas from Ethiopia about 4 months ago and Silas is the cutest little thing you ever did see! Amy has a blog and some day I will learn how to make a link to it on my blog. Their story is so fun to read and we've enjoyed watching Silas grow! He's now almost 9 months old and sweet as candy. I'll post tomorrow about our first experience eating Ethiopian food!
Oh, and we didn't exactly get to painting the nursery this weekend. We forgot Abe had his company picnic on Saturday morning, and then of course the OSU/Texas Tech game was on and had to be watched. It was an awesome game! Go Pokes! And then on Sunday we counseled couples at a retreat in Guthrie. We had a full weekend, but I did get most of the room taped so that once we have time to paint it will go quicker. We did pick out our paint and I can't wait to see the finished product! For the main room color, we chose a light tan. And we're going to paint pink stripes on one wall. How cute!

You forgot to mention your quick run to Elk City for the Hog Trough experience.

Oh yes, I did forget to mention that we drove to Elk City on Friday night to pick up some corn bags (the same as bean bags, but they have corn in them instead). That in itself deserves a whole post. While we were there we ate at The Hog Trough. Nope, not kidding, it really is called that. And, it was great food! Chopped brisket sandwich and fried okra, and they have the BEST potato salad! And I am a picky potato salad eater (my mom makes the best!).
