Test is complete!

Whew! I am SO proud of my body! The test went well (I won't get the results until Monday) and I didn't get sick...I didn't even feel sick! They took blood 4 times, once when I first got there (my "fasting" count), then I had to drink the sugary drink, and then they took my blood an hour later, two hours later, and then 3 hours later. There was a sweet girl who arrived just before me and she was very emotional about having to have the 3 hour test. I talked with her to help get her mind off of what was going on and she responded well. She said she has had a rough pregnancy, which is what made her so emotional. We talked for the first hour we had to wait, so it made time go much more quickly. I felt sorry for her because she had to end up laying down and then after getting her blood drawn after the second hour had to have something to eat. They told her if the results are okay she won't have to do the test again, but if they're not she might have to go through the ordeal all over. I tried to encourage her and remind her she only has 3 more months. She seemed to respond well. I'm grateful God was able to use me during that time to help someone else. It made me even more grateful that I felt so well and didn't get sick. Abe met me for lunch at the hospital right after my test was over, so it was nice not to have to go anywhere before eating. It's funny, because I only ate two hours ago (a delicious 6 inch sub from City Bites) and now I'm STARVING again! I guess my body needs me to make up for not eating for 16 hours! I think I will go grab a taco or something.
