I cleaned out my closet this weekend. It felt great. As I was working I had the great idea to move all my "regular" winter clothes to another location to make my life feel more organized while I'm still wearing maternity clothes. And then the thought hit me that I will only need my maternity clothes for 6 more weeks! Wow, that's not much time at all! I started to get excited at the thought of fitting back into my old clothes...and then reality came crashing down and I realized I won't be fitting into my old clothes the second Mira is born. What a bummer of a thought. I first had the mindset I would be this enormous forever, and then the realization that it really won't last much longer, and then the realization that my body will be different for a while until I (hopefully!!) get back down to my normal size. Please, Lord, let that process not take a long time!!! Such a strange mix of thoughts about that process. I'm going to try not to stress about my body after giving birth and enjoy my sweet bundle of joy.
We attended the Baby Feeding class last night at the hospital. I felt like I knew most of the information, but I think it was good for Abe and I to attend the class together to hear the same information and so we both understand that nursing takes work and doesn't "just happen". As much as I hope it will go smoothly, it's nice to know what is considered normal during the process. Tonight we take the Baby Care class, so hopefully that will feel beneficial as well. It was pretty funny to hear some of the men talking last night about their lack of desire to attend a class on baby feeding (a.k.a. breastfeeding). There were several women in attendance without their husbands. I feel blessed that my husband is willing (even though he may not enjoy it) to attend such classes with me for support. He even answered a question I was wondering about at the end of the class, so I know he was definitely listening!!
