I'm giving a shout out to Uncle Mike and Uncle Dick! I hear you guys have been reading my blog! Sweet! Keep on reading, and don't be afraid to leave me a comment sometime!
So, the baby care class was last night. I have to say I felt a little overwhelmed afterwards. Again, I knew the information, but I think it was so much at one time that I started to worry I wouldn't remember everything once I'm taking care of Mira. I had to remind myself that a lot of things will come naturally and that it's okay to learn along the way. So, I feel better today and am trying not to think about all the things I think I need to get before she's here. The biggest thing we still need is our stroller. After that I have a list of a lot of "small" things that would make caring for her a little easier. I made a list on the computer at home and I'm having a hard time remembering what's on the list (I'm currently at work...pretending to work). One of the recommendations from friends has been a wipe warmer, especially since she'll be born in the middle of winter. I think I need to get through the holidays before contemplating and sorting through my list of needs...er um, wants is probably more like it.
Since it has become clearly apparent to the world that I'm pregnant, people have felt the freedom to comment on my belly. The other day a sweet woman from work (who works in a different department and I have no idea what her name is, but she always treats everyone like she's your best friend...very friendly, etc.) asked when I was due. I told her my due date and she said, "good luck making it to January, she's really low." My response, "yes, she's always been sitting really low." It's funny how when you're pregnant it gives total strangers, or part strangers the right to comment on a body or pregnancy they know nothing about. The other comment I've been getting frequently is "oh you must be having a boy"..."nope it's a girl". "Really? You're carrying it so low". Apparently that's an old wives tale, so why does everyone still say that? I think it's quite hilarious actually, so I just laugh about it and move on. And then hope the ultrasound tech wasn't wrong when she told us it's a girl...now that would be a big surprise come delivery day!

When you have time to breathe after the holidays, I want you to send me your list of wants or part of it. I know there are the cutie things that people are going to get you, but I have taken the practical approach to baby buying for people. Things you need and would make life easier. So that is my request of you.
I am glad that you are feeling ok. She is going to be here before you know it!! Tell Abe I said thanks for being patient too. I am learning how much patience they really must have. He is being good to you.
Miss you girl. Tell Mira hi for me.. oh and Abe too.
